In memory of Elia Chammas

By Joseph Chammas

My dad died in June 2025 from late-stage stomach cancer. He met the hardest days with quiet courage, a dry sense of humour, and a steady care for others. He taught me to show up, do the right thing, and leave people better than you found them.

I'm dedicating this page in his honour to back Cancer Council's research-work that drives earlier detection, kinder treatments, and, ultimately, more time for families like mine. Stomach cancer is often found late; research can change that story.

To everyone who walked with us-friends, colleagues, and the exceptional clinicians who cared for Dad-thank you. Your compassion turned a difficult season into one that was also full of love and dignity.

If you're moved to give or to share this page in Dad's memory, thank you. Your support helps advance the research that gives other families more tomorrows.

Thank you to my supporters
