Susan died from small cell lung cancer, two months after diagnosis, in Canberra Hospital at age 64. She had spots on her kidneys and liver, but the ones that caused her the most pain surrounded her cervical spine. Radiotherapy on her lung lesions was unable to contain the spread. Her beloved husband Paul and eldest son Iain were at her bedside when she passed. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend, she has left a huge hole in our lives.
