In memory of David Gosnell

By Simon Gosnell

David Gosnell passed away on Sunday, 5th February 2023. He was 92 years old.

David was a Cancer Survivor, never doubting for a second that he would be. He lived another 30-plus years after beating the Big C. He traveled, he loved, he laughed and he spread so much joy.

Chemo is difficult for everyone. In some cases it leaves a lasting effect in Peripheral Neuropathy, which took hold in David and never let go. He was a battler and refused to let the effects of the condition beat him. It was only in the final few months of his life that he found himself unable to support his weight and was confined to his bed. His tenacity, positivity and outrageous humour were inspiring.

He didn't want a funeral, or any weeping and wailing. So in memory of David... my Dad, Vicky's Dad, Paul's Dad, Jaye's Grand-Dad, the man that brought a spark and a ray of light into so many lives, I'd like to take the opportunity to help our local Cancer Council support those affected right now by cancer. Let's help fund world-changing research to help more people survive. Please, PLEASE donate in memory of my Dad, so your gift can go towards beating cancer and helping those still affected by it today. Thank you.
